Junior Update

Just the one game to report on this week. The U11 Lightning side hosted near neighbours Battisford. Batting first we posted 275 with good contributions from Harrison Miller (9) Thomas Baddeley (10) Jack Webb (11) and Daniel Browning (12). Highlight had to be Jack Webb's one-handed catch whilst guest fielding for Battisford.

With the ball Louis Blanchard did the damage with 4 wickets, all bowled. All the bowlers were well supported with some excellent fielding particularly from Jack Webb and Lucas Brittain restricting Battisford to 242. Next up the U11s tonight at Woolpit. U7s at home to Copdock Saturday morning an the U9s at Stowmarket on Sunday.

Junior Update

Lot's of games this week....

U7s bt Battisford on Monday evening. Great to see the improvement already in this group.

U15s lost at Stowmarket on Monday. Lack of runs meant despite taking 6 wickets we couldn't quite pull of a win.

U11s on Tuesday hosted Nowton and put in a great performance to post a win. Many thanks to Tom's Abbott and Wray for helping out.

U13s again on Tuesday won at Battisford. Posting 102 we bowled the home side out for 80.

Help our youngsters!!! Coaching Course 23/4

As advised previously there is a Coach Support Worker Course running this Saturday (23rd April) 9am - 4pm at Ipswich School. This course is perfect for parents (Mum's as well as Dads) who are able to give a little to to help us on a Sunday morning. There is no onus to lead sessions and the course is purely focused on the role of a Support Coach. There is no cricket knowledge required.

There are still a few places available and it would be great if anybody could spare some time get involved. You would genuinely be making a positive difference to our young cricketers experience at the club.

If you are able to help please let me know ASAP.

Work Force Day Sunday 3rd April 2016

A date for the diary to get the work clothes on and join us to turn the club round from its winter slumber into the joys of spring. This is an invite to all club members to get those pre season chores out of the way in one day. There will be painting of sight screens (paint mostly on the screens hopefully) equipment checks and cleaning, pressure washing, cricket net construction are among some of the jobs and there maybe time for a bacon sarnie. There will be jobs for young and old (no chimney sweeping though). So please join us for a pre season Work Force Day and a good chance to work off some of those Easter eggs, hope to see you there.

AGM 29th Feb 2016 @ The Club

Hello All, hope to find all wintering well.

Just a note to say that the AGM has been organised for the 29th Feb 2016. This is to be held at The Social Club at 19.30. All welcome to attend and hope to see as many of you who can make it.

The season is fast approaching so start getting kit out of moth balls or even give it a wash from the last game of last season. (Panel beating cricket socks maybe required)
